Every year the Calgary Stampede delivers a stellar lineup of big-name artists and this year's list of Stampede concerts is certainly no exception. Shania Twain will be at the 'Dome on July 9 and 10, making her only Canadian live concert appearances this year. Other great concerts include the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Keith Urban, Reba McEntire and Canadian rockers Monster Truck, who will be on the Coca Cola stage July 8.
The Calgary Stampede officially gets underway this year on July 4, and when it does, the city goes from hard-working oil and gas town to boot-stomping party central - big time! If you're looking for a fun place to have a few drinks and get into the Stampede spirit, here is our list of the best Stampede Bars in Calgary (in no particular order).
Ranchmans (9615 Macleod Trail SW)
Easily recognized as Calgary's most iconic country bar, Ranchmans definitely kicks it up a few notches during the Stampede. They open up a massive party tent with two patios and the drinks flow. This bar is a favourite with rodeo participants and the chuckwagon crews. Ranchmans has live music every night for the 10 days of Stampede.

So with this year's Stampede running July 4-13, 2014, we thought it would be a good idea to take a look at where and when people can get their free pancake breakfasts. In addition to the food, there is always good entertainment at the Caravan breakfasts as well. And they are on come rain or shine. Unless noted, all breakfasts are open from 9 am - 11 am.

July 4: Allstream (303-9 Ave. S.E.), 8-10:30 am, first 2,000 people.
