Every year the Calgary Stampede delivers a stellar lineup of big-name artists and this year's list of Stampede concerts is certainly no exception. Shania Twain will be at the 'Dome on July 9 and 10, making her only Canadian live concert appearances this year. Other great concerts include the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Keith Urban, Reba McEntire and Canadian rockers Monster Truck, who will be on the Coca Cola stage July 8.

The Calgary Stampede officially gets underway this year on July 4, and when it does, the city goes from hard-working oil and gas town to boot-stomping party central - big time! If you're looking for a fun place to have a few drinks and get into the Stampede spirit, here is our list of the best Stampede Bars in Calgary (in no particular order).
Ranchmans (9615 Macleod Trail SW)
Easily recognized as Calgary's most iconic country bar, Ranchmans definitely kicks it up a few notches during the Stampede. They open up a massive party tent with two patios and the drinks flow. This bar is a favourite with rodeo participants and the chuckwagon crews. Ranchmans has live music every night for the 10 days of Stampede.

Arrivederci Optional Registration!
Well, we've finally arrived at the portion of the experiment I've been dreading - PPC with completely optional registration. I knew it would be bad, but had no idea how bad. As predicted, the leads have dropped substantially, and I have to admit, I'm ready to throw in the towel and stop this little experiment.
Just look at the stats from the first 2 weeks of June compared to a similar time period in April when we were using forced registration:
June 1-15 Stats - Optional Registration
April 1-14 - Forced Registration
We also predicted that the quality of leads would increase, assuming that those who registered were actually interested in getting in touch with an agent. Let's see how the…
The Calgary Stampede caravan committee is a group of behind-the-scenes enthusiastic volunteers who put on many of the Calgary Stampede Breakfasts the city is so well known for. Stampede Breakfasts have been a major part of the Stampede celebrations for the past 85 years. So with this year's Stampede running July 4-13, 2014, we thought it would be a good idea to take a look at where and when people can get their free pancake breakfasts. In addition to the food, there is always good entertainment at the Caravan breakfasts as well. And they are on come rain or shine. Unless noted, all breakfasts are open from 9 am - 11 am.
July 3: CBC Building (1745 Westmount Blvd. N.W.), 7-9 am.
July 4: Allstream (303-9 Ave. S.E.), 8-10:30 am, first 2,000 people.
Better to be underrated than overrated, right? Well it looks like Calgary's doing alright after CNN International named the Stampede City one of its 10 most underrated cities in the world.
CNN has got Calgary nestled in there alongside world-class cities like Queens, NY., Bergen, Norway, and Lisbon, Portugal. We can't help but agree with the good folks at CNN: Calgary, with its western heritage, is definitely an underrated city.
Where else in the world does a city host a 10-day party complete with 10-gallon cowboy hats, rodeos, chuckwagons and plenty of cold beer to wash it all down? And don't forget the pancake breakfasts! Yes, the Calgary Stampede is one reason the Stampede City is on CNN's list.
Calgary is the gateway to the Rockies and some of…
May was an interesting month for our our PPC experiment. Less leads, as a result a higher cost per lead, but the quality was better as we received a higher percentage of actual inquiries.
PPC Stats from May 16-31, 2014
Traffic from PPC clicks consisted of approximately 33% of all visits to the site. The 15% cost per lead increase was compared to the first two weeks of the month. Our month-to-month comparison is considerably higher.

Bel Aire homes, at least several of them, back onto the prestigious Calgary Golf & Country Club. If you want to own a luxury home in Bel Aire, you can quickly get onto the course and be crushing the ball down the fairway in no time. Windsor Park homes are also close to the Calgary club and certainly warrant consideration for the list.
