Calgary Home TeamGood news for those who need to park in the downtown core – there's now a better selection of both long and short term parking, making things MUCH easier and far more convenient. If you're headed downtown for business or pleasure, you can now be assured that there's parking available for you!

You'll get a discount for driving a smaller vehicle. Additionally, now you can park FREE along Stephen Walk every day after 6pm. Parking is available for $5 from 11am on Friday until 6am Saturday at the Centennial, McDougall, City Centre, James Short, and Civic Plaza parkades. There are lower evening rates in parkades and surface lots starting at 4pm on weekdays.

Calgary Home TeamOne of the most frequently asked questions heard by the Calgary Home Team is whether there's a “best time” to buy a house. We'd love to be able to tell you an exact window, but opinions vary throughout Canada!

While we wish we did, we don't have a crystal ball. However, there are definitely “slower” times in the market cycle. At these times, there may be lower prices or more flexible conditions allowing for a better buy, due to smaller buyer pools or generally less demand for properties.

In Canada, those slower times are usually the last two weeks in December, the first two weeks in January, and the month of August. These are all holiday times when people are often enjoying vacations and spending time with their families.
